RIP Baseball mentioned in Star-Tribune

Minneapolis Star-Tribune history columnist Curt Brown has written a really nice article about the life of Elmer Foster, the 19th-Century baseball player/actor/hell-raiser. He references this blog and includes a quote from me in his story, which marks the first time I’ve ever been mentioned in a newspaper since the time I got a scholarship in high school. So it’s been a few years, to put it mildly.

Check out Curt’s article about Elmer Foster here.

Curt Brown has also written a book called Minnesota 1918: When Flu, Fire and War Ravaged the State. If you’re interested in Minnesota history as written by a talented journalist, learn more about it at http://strib.mn/MN1918.

Thanks to Curt for reaching out!
