Hi there, this is my “help support your friendly baseball blogger” kind of post. I hate marketing myself, but sometimes a writer’s gotta do what a writer’s gotta do, so please indulge me for a few paragraphs.
Like pretty much every baseball blogger out there, I’m doing this out of a love of baseball history. Unfortunately, blogging doesn’t come with a steady salary, so I’m asking for a little donation here and there to help defray the costs of keeping the website up and running.
I’m not going to start a Patreon account because I don’t want to tie anyone to a monthly donation. Instead, I have a Ko-fi account so that you can make a small donation whenever you feel like it. If you read a story that you particularly liked, consider tossing a couple bucks my way. Every penny will go to website and research costs. You can find a Ko-fi link at the bottom of every page, including this one.
If you can’t do that, then the next-best thing is to help spread the word about RIP Baseball. Go onto the social media account of your choice and let people know about this cool, odd little baseball page. Share one of my posts on Twitter or Facebook, or tell a friend about it in an actual face-to-face conversation. People still have those, right?
